Yes! I loved Brambly Hedge… I think that’s partly responsible for my appreciation for wildlife as an adult, the thought of all those little creatures living their lives in the hedgerows.
This is such a lovely post that brought a huge smile to my face during my lunch hour! I can't get enough of all your wild moments, it's so beautiful to see someone else enjoy those little moments too!
I loved your list at the end. Felt like I was walking through all of this and savouring the many delights you have in this most magical acre of land. A delightful read. February was not the best month for me but for next year, I will notice even more the joys you have shared here. Thank you so much. I will do so with renewed intention.
I live in Northern California, we have the most beautiful Redwood forests. Please come and visit one day if you can! I very much believe everyone should experience them. They are pure magic.
So many wonderful and memorable February moments, Melissa! That is an incredible variety of species wildlife and plantlife. Thank you for sharing and I really enjoyed reading both parts I and II.
What a lovely post! I sometimes hear a pair of tawny owls near the house very early in the morning. I love it. And I've been listening to a song thrush for a couple of weeks now! Birdsong is amazing.
So many wonderful moments wow! I love mouse mansion, very brambly hedge style vibes 😍

I’m so glad you enjoyed it. March’s favourite nature moments will be coming this weekend…. 😊

Thank you Helen. I hope March is a wonderful month for you!
Thank you.
This was a lovely read! It reminds me so much of Beatrix Potter and her animal friends!
Thanks Stephanie 💚That's a huge compliment! I grew up reading Beatrix Potter
It’s always such a comfort to hear the owls 🦉 We saw our first bumble bee this week!
It's so exciting when you see the first one! 🐝
We’ve seen another one too!
What a beautiful post, of simply paying attention and "being". It exuded a sort of hopefulness that certainly I need more of in my life 🤓
Thank you Lisa! You've just made my night. I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
Aw, I grew up in the wilderness in Sweden, and now I live in the suburban South-East. I’m overjoyed if I see a bumblebee.
Lovely to read, Melissa. I think we are very lucky having so much wonderful wildlife right here in Yorkshire :-)
Thanks Angie. I wholeheartedly agree! 💚
Wonderful! My favorite bird songs are the Thrushes. Here in the Redwoods we have two types of seasonal visitors; the Hermit and the Varied.
Oh how lovely to have two types, and you have Redwoods? It's a dream of mine to see a giant one someday.

That’s a deal!
Love all the creatures you get in your yard Melissa. Can’t wait for the baby pictures!
Thanks Aria! 💚 I'm sooooo hoping for baby foxes!!
I’ve been counting on these pictures since I saw your first note 😝

Thanks so much Neil. I really appreciate this, and thanks for sharing too 💚
Super post and what a collection of wildlife you have there. Everything you are doing is clearly working.
Thanks so much 😊
