Hi, Melissa, nice to read your post. That’s exactly what I intend to do this year: rethink my Substack and more reflecting on my nature observations and walks here in the north of Flanders and surroundings. I must say, I envy you living in that beautiful part of the UK!
Thanks Ivan. I can highly recommend it! This year my substack journey came about as a result of giving myself a word for the year ‘calm’ Being in nature is where I feel the most calm, and so I wanted a reason to focus on it more - writing about it seemed perfect.
And yes, I feel incredibly lucky to live where I do. I have so much nature and wildlife literally on my doorstep. But I love that you can form a connection with nature anywhere. I look forward to hearing more of your journey.
Same to you Angie! I was so excited to see some of my old haunts on your blog. I’m still in East Yorkshire now, but south of the Ouse. However, I lived in your neck of the woods for most of my life - and I miss the Wolds. So I really appreciate your photos.
